Heli Optical System’s Near-IR BBAR Windows are optically polished glass windows with a high efficiency broadband anti-reflection coatings designed for maximum transmission throughout the Near-IR spectrum.
For comparative purposes, an uncoated glass window with negligible absorption losses only transmits approximately 92% of the light due to reflection loss (4% reflection loss from each glass/air surface). Our Near-IR BBAR coating reduces reflection loss to less than a 1.0% average from 400-1100nm per surface, resulting in superior light transmission.
