N-BK7 is a pure optical borosilicate-crown glass material. It’s characteristics makes it a good choice for window, substrate or wafer. Its transmission range is useful for the visible spectrum and near IR. Used to protect elements and optical enclosures between two environments, N-BK7 windows are available in a wide range of sizes and thicknesses.
The “N” indicates this glass is an environmentally friendly alternative to conventional lead and arsenic-containing glass types.
