The quality of a camera is defined by its sensor’s light-gathering capabilities, and the quality of illumination by its output intensity and uniformity. Therefore a high quality optical filter requires these same performance features. CameraTune™ CBP-530 optical bandpass filter features exceptionally high transmission allowing more light intensity to be harnessed and collected by the cameras sensor benefiting in superior image quality, even in challenging lighting conditions.

Steep and Deep

The steep spectral profile provides precision wavelength control that improves signal to noise by increasing transmission at the edges of the band while sharply blocking undesired light outside of the band. Basically; the steeper the slope, the sharper the contrast. Deep out-of-band blocking shields increasingly sensitive camera sensors from undesired light leaks that will degrade image quality.

C/CS In-Camera Low-Profile Threaded Mount – One Size Fits Most

Our low-profile in-camera mount optimizes filter spectral profiles for top-notch imaging. Eliminate vignetting, reduce overall system length, and keep proprietary elements hidden within your optical system.

All C/CS mount cameras are equipped with a standard internal thread size of 1” diameter x 32 threads per inch for an externally threaded lens to screw into. Our in-camera mounted filter is designed with external threads to screw directly into any C/CS mount camera. This one universal mount size helps eliminate the need to cross check various lens front filter threads, simplifying your purchasing process. Additionally, many lenses require a relatively larger filter size when mounting in front. Utilizing our smaller in-camera filter mount can significantly reduce the overall system cost. By using our compact in-camera filter, you not only save costs but also expand compatibility across a wide range of lenses.

Using an in-camera mount may limit use to some lenses. Depending on the design, extremely wide-angle lenses may have a back focal distance that protrudes beyond the standard lens threads and will not allow the lens to fully thread into the camera housing with the in-camera filter inserted. Therefore to increase the range of lenses that will work, we’ve designed a thin low-profile mount that allows our optical filter glass to sit as deep within the camera housing as possible.

Each filter is rigorously tested for transmission and blocking in the UV, VIS & NIR using one of the most advanced spectrophotometers on the market. The plasma deposition process is applied in a ISO 9001 coating facility which enables us to reliably manufacture the same high-performance filters over numerous coating runs with repeated conditions that effectively produce consistent results.
